Sitting in a sandpit, I notice I’ve nearly filled up my data card. I’m taking this a bit more seriously than most parents- the 400 frames I have taken so far are probably excessive, but I just want to get the image I know can see dammit!
Thankfully the subjects in my professional life are (usually) more cooperative than kids. Though the challenge for a photographer is always similar; To see things in THIS way, at THIS moment, in THIS light, without distractions, don’t hit your brother…
I discovered my passion for images working for the university newspaper whilst studying engineering and computer science. A technical career choice couldn’t really compete with something I loved, so I subsequently studied photography at TAFE, assisted advertising photographers, and embarked on my career. During a stint with a production company, I discovered that I could combine my job with another interest - food. I also found that I get on quite well with chefs.
My clients include Taste.com.au, Delicious, Inside Out, Random House, Coles, Woolworths, Coca Cola, David Jones, Jetstar, The Star and agencies.
